Windows 10 Laptop Can’t Connect to my Mobile Hotspot

I had no issue associating my PC to my phone’s mobile hotspot when the laptop ran Windows 8. Since I refreshed to Windows 10, it won’t work. My hotspot shows up in the available WiFi list and shows as “on” but it fails every time.

The phone is a Windows Phone 8 device and hasn’t been updated since I installed W10 on my laptop, so just the PC has changed. I can still connect my Windows 7 desktop to the phone’s hotspot so I’m sure Windows 10 is the issue. Need this to work very much because I travel for work.

The solution is very simple.

1-go to settings in windows 10

2-click wifi and internet

3-click manage wifi settings

4-click the network or the hotspot you used to connect to internet using windows 7 or 8.

5-click forget to remove it from the wifi list.

6-click to scan wifi.

7-select the same hotspot.

8-enter hotspot security key
