Q. When I right-click on any file, any file at all, explorer locks up and eventually re-starts. Looked for updates, can’t find anything. I recently updated from Windows 7. Probably it is one of the apps that try to come up on the menu. I’m not sure how to debug this.

This method worked for me.

1.   I downloaded ShellExView v1.97.

2.   I followed the instructions on this page…—–>  http://www.winhelponline.com/xp/slowrightclick.htm

3.   For my computer, it turned out to be the extension “ConvertToPDF Class”.
