how do i change hardware acceleration in windows 10

Q. I just need to find out how to change hardware acceleration in windows 10?

Answer.

a.     On the desktop, press Windows key + X and select Control Panel.

b.     In Large Icons View, click on Display and click on Change Display Settings, in the left pane.

c.      Click on Advanced Settings.

In the Advanced Settings window, if Troubleshooting tab is present, then the graphics card supports hardware acceleration.

b.     Click on the Troubleshooting tab and move the Hardware Acceleration slider to Full.

c.      Click on OK and restart the computer to save the settings.

In my case when I clicked on Advanced Settings, my tabs were:

Adapter  Monitor  Color Management   AMD Catalyst Control Center

So I opened AMD Catalyst Control Center, and found the enable/disable acceleration

under the VIDEO tab along the left hand side by clicking that and then clicking the

option Accelerated Video Conversation
