Q. Hello – Today I tried clicking on the “Get Windows 10” icon in the taskbar and I got the following error. I also tried right click –> “Check your update status” and also got the same thing. Running out of ideas after some unfruitful googling. Any ideas?

When such errors occur, usually reinstalling or doing a repair installation is the best choice of action. However, they can try to repair these files and check if it helps. To do so, refer to the steps below:
- Open the start page and type “cmd“
- Right click on the command prompt and click on “Run as administrator“.
- Type the following commands and hit enter after each.
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
Once you run these commands, restart the system and try the update again.
