Q. I have a surface book and everything was fine for 3 weeks or so.
Just recently I found I can’t as the title says download or update apps from the store.
It gives me the error code 0x8024500C. Says something wrong try again later.
I have tried again and again over the last couple of days and still the same error.
Answer.
This issue might be due to corruption in the Windows Store.
Please follow the below methods and check if it helps.
Method 1: Try clearing the Store Cache:

b) In the Run window, type WSReset.exe and click “Ok”.
Method 2:

Note: The troubleshooter automatically fixes some issues that might prevent your apps from running, including suboptimal screen resolution and incorrect security or account settings.
Method 3:
Disable proxy Connection
If you use any proxy connection, then follow the steps to disable proxy connection.
- Gearbox at the top right corner in Internet Explorer.
- Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
- Connections tab, and then click LAN settings.
- Use a proxy server for your LAN check box.
- ok.
